Although it is a category born in the United States, it is said that the Mitsubishi Galant GTO (originally official name was Colt Galant GTO), which was born in 1970, was the first in Japan. The top grade MR is a high-performance version equipped with Mitsubishi's first DOHC engine, and features the stripe shape on the side and the duct on the bonnet. With a minor change in 1972, the MR also changed the grille, tail lamp color, body color setting, etc., and the name "Colt" was removed and disappeared in 1973.
