Produced by Schuco
After the VW Beetle was really beginning to age at the start of the 1970s, its successor, the VW Golf, was launched in the spring of 1974. Initially offered with a choice of 50 PS or 70 PS, by 1975 it was soon followed by the VW GTI, today still considered the forefather of compact sports saloons. Its 1.6 litre injection engine producing 110 PS and the associated driving performance made the GTI the dream- and cult vehicle of an entire generation. Schuco is going to produce a miniature model of this VW Golf to a scale of 1:64. Edition 1:64 models come with a metal body and chassis. In addition to the prototypical wheel rims, the Schuco 1:64 models stand out due to the many lovingly detailed components.
